Myrtos Beach, Kefalonia, Greece

The quality of beaches throughout the Ionian island of Kefalonia is incredibly high but Myrtos’ takes the crown thanks to its dramatic setting. The mile-and-a-half long stretch of white pebbles on the island’s northwest coast is surrounded by calm cerulean waters and offers a perfect vantage point to catch a beautiful Ionian sunset.

What to pack: Roll up a lightweight jacket for a space-saving layer that will keep you warm while the sun goes down.

Lindquist Beach, St. Thomas

Smith Bay Park is a 21-acre protected area crowned by the beautiful white sands of Lindquist beach that are faintly tinged with pink. The waters are calm and shallow enough for the whole family to enjoy with snorkelling available as well.

What to pack: Pack lunch and head to either side of the shore for a sheltered picnic spot under the sea-grape trees or in the coconut grove.

This secluded paradise is host to small parties at the weekends; perfect for a taste of local culture.

Sunset Beach, Oahu, Hawaii

Sunset Beach is home to the Vans Triple Crown and is well known as one of the best places to see big-wave surfing through the winter. But, come summer, the water is more tranquil making for an excellent snorkelling spot. Extend your stay into the evening and you’ll be treated to spectacular sunsets.

What to pack: If you want to get out on the water yourself then try our Logan rash vests which will keep you protected from both the sun and abrasions.

Where to stay: Turtle Bay Resort

El Nido, Palawan, Philippines

Palawan manages to remain under most people’s radar, despite being home to around 50 white sand beaches. They are all set within dramatic limestone formations and boast the highest quality sand you’re likely to see.

What to pack: The sun-bleached sand is perfect for running; grab our Bulldog Sport swim shorts and head straight into the sea afterwards.

Navagio Beach, Zakynthos Island, Greece

Navagio is launded by many as the most beautiful stretch of sand in Greece and is only accessible by boat and is cloaked by sheer limestone cliffs. Known locally as Shipwreck Beach due to the ancient freighter that lays at rest at its center.

What to pack: The Larson swim shoe will help you keep your footing en route to the viewing platform.

Follow the signs up the cliffs to the Agios Gergio Kremnao monastery and you’ll find the viewing platform where you can absorb the full impact of Navagio’s beauty.

Honopu Beach, Kauai, Hawaii

Honopu, known also as Cathedral Beach is notoriously difficult to reach. It is inaccessible except by water; to get there you must either swim from an offshore boat, or from nearby Kalalau Beach (a quarter of a mile).

What to pack: Prep your picnic to last a long afternoon and take some lightweight linen towels to lay on or wrap around.

It’s a trip that is well worth the trouble. It’s a private paradise surrounded by green cliffs, so picturesque that Honopu has played host to the crews of Six Days, Seven Nights, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and King Kong.
