Orlebar Brown began in 2007 with a swim short cut from the pattern of a traditional man's suit trouser. The T-shirt came into the range as the layer underneath. We call ours the OB-T, and the principle is the same as the swim short: keep the cut close, keep the fabric considered, let the details do the work.
